DESCRIPTION

The serene Smoky Mountains and beautiful Douglas Lake are the setting for Mountain Blessing, a roomy cabin that’s perfect for a family vacation or group getaway. This three-bedroom cabin has a lake view, high-end amenities and space for up to six guests to relax and unwind. 

Located in Douglas Lake Resort, the cabin gives you easy access to the 30,000-acre recreational lake. Boat, swim, waterski and enjoy lakeside shops and restaurants. Bonus: Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are only minutes away. 

LIVING ROOM

When you walk into this open plan living room, head for the plump, leather double recliner. Pop a drink into one of the built-in cup holders, then lean back for total relaxation. Your vacation has officially launched! The recliners and leather sofa beg you to settle in and enjoy a toasty fire in the stone fireplace. Turn on the large flat-screen TV and binge all the shows, sports or movies you want. Why not? There’s no work or school tomorrow! 

KITCHEN

The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the cookware, dishes and utensils you need. Just stock the fridge and you’re ready to make anything from breakfast for a crowd to an intimate dinner for two. The handy kitchen island includes plenty of counter space where you can lay out a taco bar or pancake buffet with all the fixings. A coffee station keeps the coffee maker and cups close at hand, so you can grab a java fix any time you want.

DINING AREA

This convenient dining area, located next to the kitchen, makes serving meals easy. The blonde wood table seats four guests in classic Windsor chairs. 

BEDROOMS

The spacious loft bedroom is airy and light beneath a high, vaulted ceiling paneled in honey-toned wood. This calming retreat features a queen bed plus two sitting areas where you can relax in private. One is a cozy alcove with two big armchairs and a wall-mounted TV. Hang out here to watch your favorite shows late at night without disturbing anyone. The second spot has an extra-wide leather chair, ideal for curling up with a good book.

The second and third bedrooms offer queen beds, old-fashioned dressers, flat screen TVs and charming, bear-themed quilts. The cabin has two full baths, with shower and tub combos, and a convenient half bath, too. 

OUTDOOR SPACES

Your cabin rental includes access to the resort’s seasonal, outdoor swimming pool. Bring your bathing suit, floaties and pool toys! 

The roofed, wraparound deck has plenty of seating in rockers and Adirondack chairs, where you can take in the leafy, wooded view. Watch for birds, deer and maybe even an elusive coyote wandering past.

The deck’s bubbling hot tub can soak your aches away. Try a late-night dip after a long day of sightseeing or hiking.

Mountain Blessing provides Wi-Fi, so you’re always connected to family and friends while you’re here. 

The washer and dryer make clean-ups quick after a dusty day at Dollywood or a rainy hike in the national park.
