The Gatlinburg Trolley is a complimentary public transportation system serving residents and visitors in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. With over 20 trolleys operating year-round, it provides an efficient and convenient way to explore the city without the hassle of driving or parking.

Hours of Operation

The Gatlinburg Trolley operates 365 days a year, with schedules varying seasonally:

  • March – April: 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • May – October: 8:30 AM – Midnight
  • November – February:
    • Sunday – Thursday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Friday and Saturday: 10:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Routes and Accessibility

The trolley system encompasses multiple routes, each identified by a distinct color, covering key areas of Gatlinburg:

  • Blue Route: Services East Parkway, Community Center, Rocky Top Sports World, Library, and the Mass Transit Center at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.
  • Red Route: Covers River Road, Ski Mountain Road, Parkway from Traffic Light #10 to Traffic Light #8, Convention Center, Airport Road, Park Vista Hotel, Cherokee Orchard Road, Baskins Creek Road, Woliss Lane, and the Mass Transit Center.
  • Purple Route: Operates along North Parkway, Spur Welcome Center Park and Ride, and the Mass Transit Center.
  • Yellow Route: Runs from the Mass Transit Center to the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, operating daily from April through October, and Monday through Saturday in November and December.

All trolleys are ADA equipped, ensuring accessibility for passengers with disabilities.

Park and Ride Facilities

Visitors can utilize the Park N Ride lot at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, located at 1011 Banner Road, just off the Spur before entering town. Parking is free, and trolleys provide convenient transportation to downtown Gatlinburg.
