For many families, Dollywood is the reason for the trip. It's a full day of roller coasters, live shows, Appalachian craftsmen at work and Southern cooking, with seasonal festivals from spring through Christmas. The Island in Pigeon Forge

Mountain coasters let you control your own speed down the hillside, and Pigeon Forge has some of the best in the Smokies. Ride the Rocky Top Mountain Coaster across from Dollywood, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster on Wears Valley Road, the side-by-side Pigeon Forge Racing Coaster, or the coaster at Lost Mine.
