Big Timber

Big Timber wasn't built from new lumber — it was built from reclaimed logs, and that distinction shows in every corner of the cabin. The angular design, the cathedral ceilings, the weight and warmth of wood that's already lived a life — it gives this three-bedroom Pigeon Forge cabin a character that most rentals simply can't manufacture. For families and groups of up to eight who want something that feels genuinely crafted rather than assembled, this is the one.

The Primary Suite

The entire second level of Big Timber belongs to one bedroom. Cathedral ceilings, a queen bed, a two-person jetted tub built right into the room, and a full adjoining bath — all on a floor with no other rooms competing for it. It's the kind of private space that makes a family trip feel like it rewards whoever planned it, and the jetted tub at the end of a long day at Dollywood is exactly as good as it sounds.

The Living Areas

The main living area is where the reclaimed log character hits hardest — the angles of the architecture, the texture of the wood, the gas fireplace running from October through February. The open layout keeps the kitchen connected to the living and dining spaces, making meals and evenings together feel easy and natural. Cable TV and WiFi handle the quieter indoor moments, and the fully equipped kitchen means cooking in is always a comfortable option.

The Lower Level

Downstairs, the bunk bedroom sits alongside the game room — a natural setup for younger guests who want their own territory. The foosball table and café table give the game room its own social energy, and the half bath nearby keeps the lower level self-sufficient. The third bedroom with a queen bed and nearby full bath gives the remaining guests their own comfortable space.

The Deck & Hot Tub

The covered deck has a porch swing and a hot tub, positioned among the forested surroundings for the kind of evening soak that lets the day go. A charcoal grill handles anyone who wants to cook outside, and the seasonal community pool is a short walk away — a genuine convenience for families with kids who want more water time than the hot tub alone provides.

Location

The Parkway and the LeConte Center both land about 8 minutes away, and Dollywood is only around 10 minutes — a rare Pigeon Forge setup where the theme park is nearly as close as dinner. Downtown Gatlinburg comes in near 26 minutes, with the Sugarlands entrance to the national park about 26 minutes as well. Everything within reach, and no reason to rush any of it.

Reclaimed logs, a full floor to yourself, a jetted tub under cathedral ceilings, and Dollywood minutes away — Big Timber is the kind of cabin that doesn't need to try hard.
