Honey Bear Lodge

The cabin was beautiful and very spacious. Plenty of room for all of our kids and grandkids to spread out, but also plenty of room to all be together. The large kitchen was well equipped to prepare our dinners. Wifi was adequate for the teenager, as required. Hot tub and sauna were nice for relaxing after all the walking both downtown and in the woods. Weather was chilly and a nice break from Florida. Would absolutely book again.

We had a family wedding in Gatlinburg, this house was perfect for my children and I to enjoy time as a family while we attended the wedding. The house was spacious and perfect to accommodate my family. The set up was perfect for us to cook, hang out and enjoy family time together. There is a game room, a sauna and a hot tub. This is a great place to stay when in Gatlinburg. Colonial Properties was wonderful to work with as well.

Everything is easy! The booking, the check-in, staying there and checking out. The house has plenty of space for large groups and perfect for families with teens because of the bottom floor game room. The decor is cozy and the bedrooms are spaced out to offer plenty of privacy. This is a great rental and in my opinion you won’t be disappointed!

Renting this property was a wonderful experience from the time started walking through the process to secure this cabin all the way until we left the unit. Colonial went way beyond to help us get the arrangements that we wanted.. First class service for sure! Cabin was unbelievable beautiful and everything work just like it should. Even had all the supplies we needed. The location of the cabin is very convenient to Gatlinburg but it has the feeling of being remote and have very good views of the Mountains! Cabin very well designed and extremely comfortable, absolutely the best we have ever had in Gatlinburg, and we have been there many times. We will return!

Greatly enjoyed our stay. We were close to attractions yet close to nature in a quiet area while at the cabin. Enjoyed the birds, wild turkeys and bear visits! Will likely return!

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. We saw a bear the 2nd day we were there. Very close up. Colonial is amazing. They were available anytime we had questions and very personable. Plenty of room for 12 people and something for everyone. I would highly recommend this cabin.

This cabin was perfect for our multi family vacation and great for all ages. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped for dining in. We used all the bedrooms and everyone had a comfortable bed and pillows. Wi-Fi was great, water temp and pressure were great as well. The property is conveniently located near downtown and a local grocery. Everyone loved the wide variety of games and were just as happy to “stay in” as they were to go out to the different attractions. We were also able to start every morning with a quick ish hike to a different waterfall every day without having to drive into the park more than 20-30min at the most. Colonial Properties is more than helpful, very responsive and willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is wonderful. We will be looking at their properties if/when we return!

Loved everything that the cabin had to offer would love to come back

WOW! We had an amazing week celebrating our 50th anniversary at Honey Bear Lodge. While we were expecting a beautiful “rental property”, it far exceeded our needs. From the décor to the layout to the furnishings to the smallest of touches, the cabin was perfect for our family gathering. We are especially appreciative of the addition of the ping pong table where we enjoyed lots of fun family time together. We loved the quiet and peacefulness of the cabin surrounded by the amazing views of the Smoky Mountains. We also appreciated the close proximity of the cabin to Gatlinburg and grocery shopping. So you had the best of both worlds. In summary: It was a wonderful week filled with relaxation, celebration (our wedding anniversary), laughter, fun … The best part was the creation of so many wonderful memories. We even saw a bear one morning making his way through the yard,

This property was a great find. It was clean and comfy and the owners seemed to have thought of everything to help make our stay enjoyable. The bear decor was so cute. Our grandsons aged 3 and 5 were delighted with all the bear decorations. Kitchen was well equipped with all the necessities and so many extras. Colonial Properties could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Needless to say, we totally enjoyed our stay. Would give this property 2 thumbs up!

This was a last minute decision and a last minute find and I can say it was the best that I have ever had. Colonial is amazing and so helpful. Cabin was more than I could have imagines it to be. I can not wait to get the opportunity to stay again and I hope it will be soon.

This property is amazing! The location is great - short drive to downtown Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. We were lucky enough to see a bear on a couple occasions. Colonial is very responsive to questions and encourages you to contact them if anything is needed. The cabin is gorgeous. It’s very spacious and provided plenty of room for our party of 8. All of the beds are super comfy. Check in and check out process was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was very clean and maintained. It had everything you needed and more. Very spacious and able to accommodate a large party. The yard and extra chairs were a wonderful inclusion. Also, if you're hoping to see a bear, this is the perfect cabin! Thank you so so much for a wonderful experience. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a very good time. The cabin was absolutely amazing.

The property was fantastic! The property was just as pictured on the website...well appointed and nicely decorated! Location was easy to get to. We did see bears...quite closely!! They walked through our yard and practically up on the porch!! The living areas are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen was large and open...dishes, pots/pans, all utensils were great! Beds were very comfy!! Bathrooms were spacious and clean. Hot tub and dry sauna were a huge hit!! We intended on having an outdoor fire, but never got around to it, tho the fire pit was ready for us. Colonial Properties was extremely kind and helpful. They make themselves easily available for any questions you may have. I would recommend this property for sure!!

This property is a little gem! From the spacious rooms, cleanliness of the property, location, endless things to do in the cabin alone, the view, I cannot say enough! It truly felt like home. Colonial is amazing! From the moment I reserved the cabin up to checkout, they were available by email, phone or text. As a personal note, I am extremely grateful for the kindness they bestowed on my family in our time of need.

The cabin was big enough for my self, my three sons and their families. Great property and property manager. The view from the dining area was fantastic, gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and looking forward to doing again. Hopefully during the fall when the leaves change.

Excellent cabin and location!

We had an amazing time on our vacation to Gatlinburg. I have stayed in numerous cabins around the area, but this is hands down the best cabin I’ve stayed in. Thank you so much to Colonial Properties for checking in on us during our stay, making sure everything was perfect, which it was. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay over Memorial Day weekend at this cabin. Communication with Colonial Properties was great, the check in process was easy, and the cabin was the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. We loved the layout of the cabin and all of the amenities. It was a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg and we found it very convenient to the Food City nearby. We also highly recommend the restaurants nearby that are not on the typical beaten path! Would definitely stay again!

This cabin did not disappoint! It fit 11 of us perfectly without being crowded. Colonial Properties is so friendly and easy to get in touch with. Very conveniently located! Super close to downtown Gatlinburg. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property for our group of 9; could easily hold 3 more. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. We had a "guest" (bear) the night we used the fire ring and had s'mores. Luckily, even though he was less than 10 feet away, we all got in the house!

I cannot say enough about how amazing our time at Bear Necessities was for our annual family trip! The house was perfect for our kids and grandkids with enough space for everyone to enjoy our time together, yet have room to relax and separate from each other on the many outdoor decks. It is so obvious how much thought and effort Colonial Properties put in to assuring each guest will have a great experience in their home. The location is perfect that you can walk down the hill and catch the trolley into town, or grab a great meal, breakfast, dinner, or ice cream - and then 'walk it off' on your way back up! It is also close to the grocery story without having to deal with the traffic in town - a huge plus in my opinion! The house was very clean and had all the extras needed to prepare our meals - and we had many together around the huge dinner table, that came with an awesome view! The mountains, the house, the location , and most importantly the Colonial Properties truly made our annual fall family trip amazing! Even before we arrived I received a phone call (not a text!!) to make sure we had a direct connection in case we needed anything, which put me at ease and made me feel incredibly welcome as a guest.
