Thunder Bear Hideaway is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath Pigeon Forge cabin rental conveniently located near downtown attractions, shopping, and dining, that comfortably accommodates 6 guests in total comfort.
Living Room
Step inside and you can’t miss the living room’s beautiful centerpiece–a river stone fireplace, set in a wall full of windows. Take in the leafy view framed by four big windows that rise all the way up to the cathedral ceiling. Light pours in on the honey-gold wood that graces the walls and floors.
Turn on the flat-screen TV. What will you binge as you relax on the leather sofa or curl up in the extra-wide armchair? Both are delightfully adorned with a pattern of strolling bears. Need to check your email, or just want to play cards with the kids? Hop onto a high stool at the living room table made from an old-fashioned wooden barrel.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The fully equipped kitchen is just steps from the living room, so snacks and drinks are always close at hand during movie marathons. With ample counter space and a double sink for quicker clean-ups, this kitchen is ready to help you tackle your heartiest lasagna recipe, or just whip up a picnic to take on a hike. The kitchen includes all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you need.
The eat-in kitchen gives you lots of elbow room for everyone to enjoy meals. Dine at the wooden farmhouse table, with classic Windsor chairs for four.
Bedrooms
The main bedroom is country chic, from its sweet, bear-bedecked quilt and log bed to its warm wooden walls. Lie back on the king bed to watch the flat-screen TV, then settle in for a great night’s rest. In the morning, the convenient en suite bathroom means you can get ready in a snap and head out for your day in Pigeon Forge.
Thunder Bear Hideaway has a secret: The loft is so roomy it’s home to a bonus sleeping area with a queen-size log bed. A second bathroom means no waiting.
Game Room
The downstairs game room is your headquarters for hours of fun. Rack up the balls, grab a cue and laugh as you play pool. Hold a friendly tournament and let the winners pick dessert tonight! The game room has its own flat-screen TV plus a cafe table and chairs, making it an ideal space for kids or teens to hang out for pool, TV time, and board games. The game room also has direct access to one of the cabin’s two decks.
Outdoor Spaces
Out front, Thunder Bear Hideaway welcomes you to its roofed porch. Out back, two covered decks are your outdoor living rooms, where you can sip coffee or moonshine, read or catch some Zs in the fresh mountain air. A bubbling hot tub is all yours, 24/7. What could be more refreshing than slipping into the hot tub and soaking your tired muscles after a day in the Smokies?
Other Amenities
No need to stuff your suitcases for this vacation! The full-sized washer and dryer give you the option to pack lightly and toss in a load of laundry whenever you want.
Use the cabin’s complimentary Wi-Fi for booking tickets to shows or ordering takeout online.
The cabin includes two parking spaces right outside the front door, so your vehicles are always close at hand.

A: Hi Kristen, thank you for reaching out. We do not allow cat's in any of our rental properties.
The cabin was wonderful, We had a great week. Colonial Properties were very helpful. Making reservations was easy. We will definitely be staying again at one of their locations.
We had a great stay! Our dogs were even comfortable! We had a problem the first night with the TV's (we are not technology savvy) and we had help quickly. I would recommend staying with Colonial Properties to anyone!
Best time in a long time!!
The cabin was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location made us feel like we were in the woods but very close to all attractions and everything we needed. We loved our stay at Thunder Bear Hideaway and sincerely hope we will be able to stay again in the future.
Cabin was very nice. Very clean. Close to all the Pigeon Forge attractions and close to Wears Valley.
I highly recommend this cabin to anyone. The cabin is so peaceful and relaxing listening to the birds on the porch. The location was wonderful and the cabin was so clean and smelled fresh and feel like home from the time we arrived.
Great place to stay! Clean!
Comfortable rustic digs. The king size bed is plush and conducive to a very good night's sleep. The hot tub is great. The house is conveniently located just a few minutes from Dollywood and lots of shopping and food places.
Beautiful cabin amongst the woods/mountains of Pigeon Forge! Very peaceful, relaxing and quiet.
Cabin was quiet but yet close to everything. 2 min to grocery store. 2 min from Dollywood.
We loved the cabin, easy access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Beautiful spacious home settled out of town.
Nice cabin, great location close to everything! We will definitely be staying here again.
We were within a few minutes drive to so many of the attractions we visited!
This place was located super close to everything in Pigeon Forge. It was also easy to get to the Smoky Mountains National Park. It was clean and comfortable. The hot tub worked great and we used it every night. It is a 5 star place.
The cabin is clean and all furnishing are in good condition and appears well maintained. The pictures of the interior are a good representation of what you will get when you reserve this cabin. This is a dog friendly cabin and still well cleaned and no odors. The cabin is 0.3 miles to Teaster and 0.8 miles to the Old Mill, probably about 1.5 Miles to the Island. While there is not rally a view, you definitely get the convenience of being close to everything.
This is one of the best cabins I have rented for my family vacation. We have been going to Tennessee for the past 5 years and this cabin this year really felt like home. My wife and I are considering coming back for our anniversary in October instead of going to the beach. LOL It was so great we stayed an extra day!!
