The Appalachian Restaurant

The Appalachian, in historic Sevierville, offers upscale Southern cuisine. The recipe? Find fresh, locally grown ingredients. Prepare them with a modern touch and plenty of experience. Serve them in a setting that’s both warmly welcoming and elegant.

Cooking over a wood fire creates The Appalachian’s signature rich, smoky flavors. Executive Chef David Rule worked in kitchens across East Tennessee and his experience with Southern cusine is reflected in dishes like blue crab fritters, beer battered okra and rainbow trout.

Farm-to-Table Menu

Dishes change daily, to reflect the freshest available ingredients. The restaurant partners with local farmers for what the chef calls “a true farm-to-table experience.”

Typical main dishes include glazed duck breast, pork tenderloin, hanger steak with potato dumplings, or fried chicken with ham hock greens. Appetizers like butterbean hummus and pork belly show off the restaurant’s Southern side. Wood-grilled steaks are a specialty.

Recent desserts include goat cheese cheesecake, homemade apple cobbler and pots de creme with fresh raspberries.
