1. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

7 a.m-1 p.m. Start Christmas Day with a big Southern breakfast or brunch! Pancakes, French toast, breakfast burritos, omelets and cinnamon rolls will fuel you up for opening all those gifts. 

2. Best Italian

Check site for hours. The Elks Plaza location of this popular restaurant opens for the holiday to serve garlic knots, creamy pastas, traditional Italian chicken and seafood, and pizzas and calzones.

6. Loco Burro Fresh Mex Cantina

11 a.m.-8 p.m. Christmas is a fiesta at this eatery serving classic fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, mesquite grilled chicken and more Tex-Mex specialties. 

7. Crawdaddy’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar

Noon-6 p.m. Enjoy seafood with a Cajun twist, from a menu with Gulf shrimp, Low Country boil, seafood gumbo and fried fish, all in a dining room evoking New Orleans.

8. Smith & Son Corner Kitchen

2-10 p.m. Dine on an American menu including smoked meatloaf, slow-cooked ribs, catfish, hearty burgers and sandwiches, and classic desserts like banana pudding.

9. Calhoun’s

11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Mouth-watering Tennessee BBQ is the specialty, alongside “wet wings,” fresh-ground burgers, chops and steaks. Look for the rustic water wheel outside.

Noon-8 p.m. Go back in time at this 1950s-style diner for a casual Christmas. The chain diner serves burgers, fries, shakes, sandwiches and appetizers.
