How to Spend a Day at The Island in Pigeon Forge

Morning

Start with a Southern breakfast at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. Fuel up on fried chicken and waffles and fluffy biscuits. For a lighter bite, visit Margaritaville Coffee for a breakfast sandwich and a jolt of joe.

Time to ride! Little ones adore the kiddie cars at Island FARM’n and the giant frog ride at Ribbit. Classics include a carousel, mirror maze, and bumper cars. Need bigger thrills? Head for the drop tower, or ride Reverse Time, where you spin through the air! 

End the morning aboard the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, a Ferris wheel with 360-degree views. The glass gondolas give you a smooth ride in any weather. 

Lunchtime

Try Mellow Mushroom for custom pizzas in a groovy, artsy setting. Don’t want to slow down for lunch? Grab a hot dog or nachos at Yee Haw Snack Shack.

Spend the afternoon immersing yourself in imagination. Fight zombies at 7D Dark Ride Adventure. Step inside a real-life video game at Battleground: Tactical Laser Tag and play with new, innovative laser tech. Solve mysteries and defeat your captors in five thrilling scenarios at The Escape Game.

Stop for a midafternoon pick-me-up. Kids can slurp a fresh lemonade while the grown-ups sip a frosty daiquiri. The Island’s snackeries offer everything from gourmet cookies to soft pretzels to handmade fudge!  

Save time for Alcatraz East Crime Museum. Learn about infamous criminals and famous crime fighters. Try your hand at catching the bad guys.

Browse The Island’s 40 boutiques. You’ll find decor, gifts, puzzles, toys, sports team gear, custom art and much more.

Evenings at The Island

Get dinner with a side of snark at Dick’s Last Resort, where servers dish out jokes along with burgers, pastas and sandwiches! For a taste of mountain traditions, eat at Timberwood Grill, home of steaks, ribs and chops.

End your day at SkyFly: Soar America. In this flight simulation, you glide over famous American landmarks. 

Head back to your Pigeon Forge cabin rental. When you pick a cabin near downtown, The Island is only minutes away. Come back tomorrow!
