Country music star Jason Aldean is opening a new restaurant and live music venue in downtown Gatlinburg, and invites you to “Come for the food, stay for the party!” 

The opening date for Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar is still under wraps, but the restaurant’s logo is already painted on a building in the heart of Gatlinburg’s Strip and renovations are underway inside. The singer opened Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in Nashville in 2018, making the Gatlinburg location his second restaurant. 

Look for Aldean’s next to Ole Smoky’s Barrelhouse. This location is an easy walk from Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and Anakeesta theme park. 

Aldean is a five-time Grammy nominee who has notched 27 No. 1 country singles. He’s the second country artist to bring star power and branding to Gatlinburg. “The Voice”’s Blake Shelton opened Ole Red on the Strip in 2019. 

Details about the Gatlinburg Aldean’s aren’t public yet, but the Nashville location gives us clues about what to expect. 

New and Classic Country 

The Nashville Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar features six bars, with live music in the dining room and on the rooftop. Music flows from opening until closing, seven days a week. Performers include up-and-coming country acts and nationally known musicians. 

Southern Comfort Food 

“Come for the food, stay for the party” is the Kitchen + Rooftop Bar’s motto, and the food is all about down-home flavors. Aldean helped craft the menu, which includes a crispy hot chicken sandwich, meatloaf, pot roast and mac and cheese. Steak lovers and burger buffs get their fill here too. Desserts include peach cobbler from an Aldean family recipe.

Up on the rooftop, the Food Basket offers bar food classics. Snack on jumbo wings, fried mac and cheese or fried pickles. Order a cheeseburger, pulled pork sandwich, hot chicken sandwich or a bologna sandwich. For dessert: Melty, deep-fried Oreos. 

Cocktails, Beer and Wine

What country star with a bar wouldn’t name a few drinks after his own hit songs? Order “My Kinda Party” and you’ll get rum and Grand Marnier with a glug of Red Bull to keep you awake. Aldean’s “Ride All Night” serves up apple whiskey with ginger beer. The drinks list features more original cocktails, wines and beers.
