Top 10 Popular June Destinations in Pigeon Forge

June in Pigeon Forge is truly something else. The Smokies keep the air springtime fresh while the warm southern climate practically begs you to get out and bask in the sun. Much of Pigeon Forge was built for this kind of weather. Here are just 10 examples of things to do during the lovely month of June in eastern Tennessee.

1. The Island

Eat, play fun. That’s the tagline for The Island. This amusement park frequently ranks among the top ten in the nation, and it’s not hard to see why. There’s no central theme here, they’ve got a bit of everything!

Dark rides, laser tag, escape rooms, arcades, and more! You can go on classic carnival rides or hang out in the shops. It’s a fun, classic vacation experience for the whole family.

2. Dollywood

Pigeon Forge’s premier theme park, Dolly Parton’s own Dollywood is a must-see at any time of year, but especially in June. Their Flower and Food Festival starts in May, and on June 20, their Summer Celebration takes over.

There’s always something exciting going on at Dollywood, and the rides do not disappoint. Everything from the craziest coasters to the calmest kid-friendly rides, you’re sure to be worn out (in a good way) after a day in Dollywood!

3. Pigeon Forge Snow

We’re not all summer people. If you’re someone who misses the wintertime, then Pigeon Forge has got you covered with the first-ever indoor snow park. At Pigeon Forge Snow, it snows every day of the year. They stock their park with real snow that never melts away, despite the temperature staying somewhere in the sixties!

There’s a robust tubing slope and a large snow play area. Bring the whole family and hold onto the winter just a little bit longer.

4. Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster

Never been on a mountain coaster before? Here’s your chance! The Alpine Mountain coaster is exactly what it sounds like - a fast and exciting coaster ride down a real mountain. It’s all the thrills of a theme park without having to navigate the crowds. There’s something almost primal about the thrill of rocketing down a real mountainside.

Trying to squeeze as much into one day as possible? The Mountain Coaster offers night rides for those who show up later in the day.

5. Comedy Barn

This theater show labels itself as fun for the whole family, and they mean that! This is clean comedy, so don’t be afraid to take the little ones along for the laughs. Here you’ll get a hilarious sampling of ventriloquists, barnyard animals, comedians, and music!

6. Pigeon Forge Cabins

Our Pigeon Forge Cabins offer a beautiful view of the Smokies and relaxing amenities like hot tubs and pool tables. In June, you can take advantage of all our properties have to offer. Relax out on the porch in front of a beautiful forest view or spend your evening unwinding in an outdoor hot tub.

7. Dollywood's Splash Country

Dollywood’s so nice it made the list twice. Really Dollywood’s water park is so perfect for summer in Tennessee that we felt it deserved its own entry on this list. Splash Country is actually located right next to the theme park proper, and it’s the perfect cozy mountain oasis to lose yourself in.

They’ve got attractions for the thrill-seekers and the loungers among us. Drift lazily down the waterway on the Downbound Float Trip or ramp up the adrenaline and take a plunge down Mountain Scream.

8. Pirates Voyage

This dinner show is a real riot! Surely you’ve heard of Blackbeard and Calico Jack? Well, now you get to see them up close in an exciting performance featuring mermaids, tropical birds, and more! This is a fun, interactive experience with a surprisingly robust dinner menu, complete with vegan and vegetarian options on request.

9. The Track

As the name implies, this is a go-kart track, but the fun doesn’t end there! At The Track in Pigeon Forge, you’ll also find miniature golf, an arcade, blaster boats, bumper cars, and more! If you’ve got kids, then prepare to spend the whole day here, because there are enough attractions to get easily lost in.

10. The Titanic Museum

Pigeon Forge is where the spirit of the Titanic stays alive. This is an educational and truly moving experience where you can see the infamous Titanic disaster in a new light. The Titanic Museum is both respectful and exciting. Daily events and priceless Titanic artifacts make this a one-of-a-kind experience.
