1. Ponies in the Smokies Mar. 23-28
Celebrate more than 60 years of the legendary Ford Mustang at this show featuring car displays, vendors, and opportunities for ride-alongs. Watch owners and pro drivers demonstrate exciting drifting and burnouts and take part in autocross, fun runs, and a thrilling drag race.
2. Spring Rod Run April 16-18
Stroll among hundreds of souped-up, colorful, classic hot rods at the biggest car show in the Smokies! Visit the “car corral,” root for your favorite cars in dozens of competition categories, and enjoy family-friendly activities. Can’t make the Spring Rod Run? Come to the Fall Rod Run, Sept. 17-19.
3. Grand National F-100 Reunion May 14-16
Rev your engine and head for the world’s largest classic Ford truck show. Bring the whole family to explore hundreds of Ford’s finest trucks built before 1996. Talk to proud owners, check out the swap meet, and stick around for food and awards.
4. Smoky Mountain Summerfest July 25
This free, one-day festival combines a classic car show with food trucks, vendors, and live music to keep your toes tapping.
5. Big Rig Showdown July 31-Aug. 1
Big rigs roll and rumble into Pigeon Forge to show off the shiniest, tallest, coolest mega-trucks around. Discover the secrets of these huge road warriors, with a big rig parade, a light show, live music, and great food.
6. Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion Aug. 20-22
The historic Jeep has been an icon since World War II. The centerpiece of the Jeep Invasion is “Show & Shine,” a display of the country’s best Jeeps, from vintage classics to souped-up, specialized vehicles.
7. Smoky Mountain Truck Fest Sept. 25-26
See “extreme trucks” at this huge international gathering. These customized trucks are popped up high, or turned into belly-scraping low riders, or tricked out with incredible designs. If you want an up-close look at unique trucks, this is your chance.
