Weekend Itinerary for Couples in Gatlinburg

Weekend Itinerary for Couples in Gatlinburg

When you pick a Gatlinburg cabin for a couple’s weekend, you’ll have just one problem: How do you choose among so many delightful things to do? Let us help! We’ve curated a three-day itinerary that’s relaxing, romantic, and active.

Day One: Smoky Mountains Beauty

Morning: A scenic drive. Every turn unveils a stunning view. Meander through a lush forest on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, or choose the panoramic scenery along the Foothills Parkway.

Afternoon: Cades Cove. Spend hours in this serene valley, home to historic churches, cabins and barns. Wildlife is abundant here. Hike to a waterfall, or stroll the short Cades Cove Nature Trail.

Pick up mouth-watering Tennessee BBQ on the way back to your cabin. After dinner, shoot pool in your cabin’s game room, or soak in the hot tub together.

Day Two: Be Kids Again

Morning: Anakeesta. Try the Dueling Ziplines at this nature theme park. Challenge each other to see who flies through the air faster! Hop on the mountain coasters, walk high above the forest floor on the Treetop Skywalk, and try the treehouse challenge course.

Afternoon: Escape games. Find out how well you partner to find clues and solve riddles. Escape games give you themed challenges, like prison breaks, haunted house escapes, and hilarious heists. Gatlinburg has plenty of escape rooms to choose from, including Breakout and Gatlin’s Escape Games.

Back at your cabin, make each others’ favorite dishes. If your cabin has a fire pit, build a crackling blaze and make s’mores under the stars.

Day Three: Explore Gatlinburg

What tickles your fancy? Mix and match these ideas to fit your style:

Morning: Just for fun. Gearheads and movie fans will love the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, featuring famous cars “posed” for superstar selfies. Ascend 400 feet to the observation deck at the Gatlinburg Space Needle. Pet stingrays and take a glass-bottomed boat over a shark tank, at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

Afternoon: Get romantic. Take the Rocky Top Wine Trail to picturesque wineries. Treat yourselves to dinner at The Park Grill, an elegant mountain lodge, then take in a magic show at the Iris Theater.

Watch a movie at the cabin, or just stargaze from the deck. Tomorrow you head back to real life. Tonight is just for the two of you! Book a Gatlinburg cabin rental now, and plan your weekend getaway.
