6 Best Rainy Day Activities in Pigeon Forge

6 Best Rainy Day Activities in Pigeon Forge

A rainy day in Pigeon Forge isn’t a washout. It’s a great excuse to have some indoor fun like these 6 adventures.

1. Go Snow Tubing--Indoors

Zip downhill on fresh, real snow--no coats needed! At Pigeon Forge Snow, it’s always 70 degrees inside this year-round, indoor tubing park. After your 200-foot race down one of the 15 tubing lanes, build a snowman in the indoor snow play area or grab a cup of cocoa from the snack bar.

2. Create an Original Painting

Get your creative juices flowing (no experience necessary!) and create one-of-a-kind souvenirs at the Art Studio of the Smokies. A rainy day is a chance to try something new even if you’ve never painted before. Contact the studio before you turn up, so they’re sure to have room for you and your crew at their paint parties.

3. Throw an Ax

Ax throwing is a family-friendly outing unlike any other! Spend a damp day at Pigeon Forge Ax House. You’ll get instructions and plenty of time to compete to see who’s got the best aim. All ages are welcome. You won’t have to dash out in the rain to get lunch because the Ax House serves pizzas, wings, desserts and brews.

4. Play Laser Tag or Blacklight Mini-Golf

LazerPort Fun Center features a 7,000-square-foot laser tag arena for burning off rainy day energy. When you’re done, play a round of mini-golf on the indoor, blacklight golf course that glows in the dark. LazerPort’s games arcade and simulators are great indoor fun too.

5. Time Travel to the Past

You don’t need a time machine--just tickets to the Titanic Museum Attraction. Step on board this replica of the famed ship and pretend you’re a passenger as you touch an iceberg, sit in a lifeboat, and experience more than 400 real Titanic artifacts.

6. Check Out Sugarlands Visitor Center

Rain doesn’t have to keep you out of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park’s Sugarlands Visitor Center treats you to a free 20-minute film about this magnificent place, and you can explore exhibits about the Smokies’ history and wildlife. If the rain blows away while you’re here, step outside for an easy walk to a waterfall nearby!

A perfect rainy-day hangout is your comfy vacation cabin. Reserve your Pigeon Forge cabin today.
