Pigeon Forge’s new attraction features immersive images, sounds and lighting to create a one-of-a-kind ocean experience right here in the landlocked Smoky Mountains. Surprise a friendly dolphin. XPERIA is like nothing you’ve experienced before, and unlike anything else in Pigeon Forge. Not AI, not virtual reality, not an aquarium, this fully digital experience is a 10,000-square-foot attraction featuring breathtaking realism, thanks to thousands of video and audio recordings of real animals and ocean environments.
Don 3D glasses and step in front of the 40-foot screen. You’ll feel as if you’re floating through kelp forests and swimming among schools of fish.
Move through room after room of sights and sounds. Watch giant squids, humpback whales, thresher sharks and other seldom-seen animals up close. Interactive technology lets you play with realistic digital animals, like the curious sea lion who imitates your movements!
XPERIA: Ocean Journey is an all-ages attraction. It requires that minors be accompanied by an adult, so plan to enjoy the adventure alongside the kids.
Your undersea trip is self-guided, so you set your own pace. Most visitors take at least an hour to 90 minutes to explore (depending on how long you play with that sea lion!)
Enjoy the experience until 9 p.m. on weeknights and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. This unique outing is a great way to end a day of sightseeing or shopping in Pigeon Forge.
You’ll find XPERIA: Ocean Journey in Pigeon Forge’s Tanger Outlets shopping area. Tickets are $24.50 for guests age 13 and up and $19.50 for military members or seniors age 65 and up. Tickets for children ages 6 through 12 are $15.50 and children ages 5 and under are free. The admission cost covers everything for your journey including your 3D experience and glasses.
